Maju Motors Sdn Bhd, the official Volkswagen distributor in Brunei, celebrated its 15th anniversary today with a ceremony at its Jalan Telanai showroom.

Speaking to the company’s partners and suppliers at this morning’s event, Mr Chan Key Hong, the Executive Director of Maju Motors, said, “We can be proud to look back over the last 15 years and witness how Maju Motors has progressed. The last three years have been especially exciting, with the highlight being the achievement of 1,000 new car deliveries to customers in 2014.”

Also in attendance at the event were Mr Chan Sui Kiat, the founder of Maju Motors, and Mr Bernd Siffling, the company’s General Manager.

Tributes were paid to the 80 employees of Maju Motors, of which over 90 percent are Bruneians. This is more than three times the staff strength compared to two years ago.

Said Floriza Ayunan, who has worked for the company’s finance department since day one: “It’s such a great feeling to have seen Maju Motors grow throughout the years and to be a part of it. Despite its success and the growing team, the company regards everyone as family and this is what makes working here so special.”

In line with the 15th anniversary celebrations, Maju Motors has lined up a series of events and promotions for everyone to enjoy. Special discounts are available on the full range of Volkswagen models, and customers also have the opportunity to spin the wheel and win cash vouchers worth up to $1,000 when they take delivery of their cars. These offers are valid until 31 December 2015.

Those who visit the showroom on Sundays can also enjoy a delicious complimentary meal as part of the new Sunday Morning Breakfast and Test Drive event. Maju Motors is open from 9am to 1pm every Sunday.
