Have a very French affair right here in Brunei! From the magnificent tourist destinations, unforgettable gastronomic experience to France’s industrial leadership, the French Embassy in Brunei Darussalam invites you to experience a taste of what France has to offer.

“The exhibition, which will take place at Times Square Mall on April 5th, is an initiative of the French Embassy, aiming at showcasing some of the main aspects of France’s economic and cultural presence in Brunei Darussalam. First of all, the aim is to show the interest of French groups in the Sultanate and the potential it offers for the reinforcement of bilateral business, as well as the trust they place in the vibrant future of Brunei Darussalam. The Exhibition also aims at developing a better awareness of the general public about what France has to offer.” – His Excellency Jean Yves Berthault, Ambassador of France in Brunei Darussalam.

Videos will display the marvelous landscape and cultural heritage of France, with the scope of encouraging tourism (Air France will offer two airplane tickets for the lucky draw).

Students will be informed of possibilities of studying in France, the third global destination for foreign students (Campus France, based in Singapore).

France would like to encourage the development of cooperation in vocational studies, in order to respond to the VISION 2035 of the Sultanate, as well as to its determination in favouring economic diversification. The first cooperation of this kind, which will start its activities next month, will be shown with Institut de Soudure (welding) having demos, and explaining to potential students the benefits of such careers.

Language study will occupy its due place, with the participation of Alliance Francaise.

A large French group are supporting the event, Peugeot which won the prized “car of the year award” for 2014, will showcase its latest model and Michelin will display its up to date technologies.

Schneider Electric, the recognized world leader in electricity, automation management and energy efficiency will showcase its most innovative SMART CITIES concept in the event.

Total of course which represents France’s most significant investment in the country and will even develop further in the years to come, will also be present at the event.

The French Brunei Business Association (FBBA) will once more have an occasion to demonstrate its dynamism.

We should not forget that if there is one thing that France and Brunei have in common, it’s their dedication to “food culture”. There will be demonstrations of French cuisine for the pleasure and interest of the public. Everything HALAL of course!

Come and Join us on the 5th of April 2014 at Times Square Mall for this very special event and get the chance to win exciting prizes that include two airplane tickets for a TRIP to Paris courtesy of Air France, which will also give special promotional fares to all the visitors from Brunei to Paris.

This event, organized by the French Embassy in Brunei Darussalam with support from Total, FBBAJ Amundi, Michelin, Peugeot, Institut de Soudure, Alliance Francaise, Air France, Schneider Electric and Campus France, has been approved by the Ministry of Home Affairs.
