A time for gratitude Posted on 21/02/202327/11/2023 By Reedz Embarking on a spiritual journey to strengthen my bond with Allah SWT, I’ve profoundly embraced gratitude in all facets of life, cherishing both the monumental and the seemingly insignificant moments. Today, I’m moved to share my heartfelt thanks for a significant mercy bestowed upon me. Alhamdulillah, for this blessing. Nearly three years ago, a daunting challenge emerged. While battling a kidney infection and undergoing thorough medical examinations, a concerning growth was discovered in one of my kidneys. My doctor’s advice to closely monitor this growth plunged me into a state of profound anxiety. Fear of the unknown gripped my heart, as the specter of what it might signify loomed large in my mind. Today, after what felt like an eternity of waiting and worrying, I am overwhelmed with gratitude and relief to report that the growth has remained unchanged, suggesting benignity. This news is not just a personal relief but a beacon of hope and joy for my entire family. It serves as a powerful reminder of the immeasurable value of gratitude for the blessings bestowed by Allah. This journey, while fraught with anxiety and uncertainty, has been a profound teacher. I have learned, with a humble heart, to trust in Allah’s divine plan, recognizing that every occurrence in our lives is a stitch in the intricate tapestry of His grand design. This experience has also deepened my appreciation for the everyday blessings we often overlook, like the precious gift of health. But perhaps the most significant lesson has been the importance of gratitude in both trials and triumphs. Each moment, whether filled with joy or pain, is an opportunity to grow closer to Allah and to recognize His mercies in our lives. I wish to extend this message of gratitude and faith to my fellow Muslims. Let us always be mindful of the countless blessings in our lives, both grand and humble. While the future remains unseen, we can consciously choose to value and cherish what we have today. Above all, let us never forget that Allah is the greatest of planners, guiding each of our steps with wisdom and love. May Allah bless us all with enduring health, resilience, and hearts overflowing with gratitude. Amin ya rabbal alamin.
