Leicester Represent!

Posted on 20/08/201110/02/2023 By Reedz

Last night, I joined the BruLeics Sungkai Gathering with the ever-growing BruLeics family which was held at Cafe Ceri in Serusop. Superb turnout of over 50 people including current, past, and future University of Leicester students. The awesome turnout was in no small measure thanks to the President’s message on the BruLeics FB page:

“To all Freshers, make sure to try your best to attend the sungkai gathering this Friday. It is important that you establish good rapport with not only your seniors, but also amongst yourselves prior to going to Leicester. This way settling in Leicester won’t be as daunting with familiar faces around. Also this event is mainly for you, so if you can spare just an evening we would be really appreciative.”

The BruLeics Society is a student organisation which is aimed for Bruneians studying in Leicester. The Society was officially formed in early 2010 with the support of the Brunei Student Union in London, in the hopes of bringing the Bruneian community together through means of activities and events, and to secure the welfare of new students who will be studying in Leicester.
