Saturday afternoon walkabout Posted on 08/11/200908/11/2009 By Reedz Being cooped up in the library was seriously getting to me, so I decided to take a stroll around the city this afternoon… This is Leicester Fire Station just opposite my dorm building. Its undergoing renovations at the moment Opal Court. My dorm. Crossroads like these are very common here and are very useful in giving you an idea of where you are. Especially useful for people with lousy sense of direction (like yours truly heheh!) The Park near Opal Court was named after Nelson Mandela in 1989 This is the plaque which was officiated by SA High Commissioner Mabuza in 2004 The entrance to the park The Leicester Prison is in a Castle HM Prison Service. Public Sector Prison. Ada Private Sector Prison kah? Welford Road The Finwick logo reminds me of Harrods somehow… Tells you a lot about the populace… I love the name of this place. Someone was probably sitting down at the Leicester market one morning and noticed a slug on the lettuce, and VOILA! Speaking of market… Fresh seafood anyone? Leicester Market was voted Britain’s Favourite. Personally, I prefer Pasar Gadong 🙂 I like this shot… decisive moment… Share this:Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window)Click to share on LinkedIn (Opens in new window)Click to share on Telegram (Opens in new window)Click to share on WhatsApp (Opens in new window)Click to share on Reddit (Opens in new window) Related
