Already in its 40th day of operation, the SMARTER shop located in Bangunan Wisma Jaya in town was officially opened yesterday by YB Minister of Communications in an event immediately following the launching of World Autism Awareness Day at RIPAS hospital earlier in the day.

The shop currently stocks items that have been donated by merchants and individuals and sells them at low prices. It also features recycled materials, as well as new or unused products. Items include clothing, household and decorative items. Proceeds from the shop will be used to fund the SMARTER centre in Sengkurong.

Members of the public are most welcome to donate items to the centre or shop, which has a loading bay in the back for convenient drop-offs. The shop is open from 7am to 8pm.
