The SCB CNY Dinner Posted on 07/03/200807/03/2008 By Reedz Pics from the Standard Charted Bank’s Chinese New Year dinner which took place last night at the Manggis Ballroom at Hua Ho Manggis Mall. Guest of Honour was YB Pehin Lim, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade II. The turnout was fantastic with many familiar faces coming all the way from KB. This chap owns one of the oldest tire shops in KB. He used to install all the tinting on my black bewwdy hee hee! See a familiar face? 🙂 The start of the dinner was marked with the symbolic tossing of the auspicious “Yee Sang” dish. During the dinner, Standard Chartered Bank also presented donations to two students, Hong Tou Qin (above) from Chung Hwa Middle School, BSB, and Nurul Wafiyah Abdullah (below) from Chung Hua Middle School, KB. There was a surprise performance by key team members of the Bank who presented their rendition of a funny Hokkien song entitled, “Na si wa uu chee pa ban” which roughly translated means “If I had a million bucks!” Share this:Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window)Click to share on LinkedIn (Opens in new window)Click to share on Telegram (Opens in new window)Click to share on WhatsApp (Opens in new window)Click to share on Reddit (Opens in new window) Related

Only one word for the photography – Excellent! Was good to see you (and the rest of the crew) there last night. It was a long drive for us but well worth it.
Al: hehe and the same to you buddy! ivfdad: Thank you, the lighting at the venue was wreaking havoc on my camera’s white balance which resulted in probably a less than 50% keepers rate 🙁 Yeah, it was great seeing you and missus too! Twice in a month too! heheh! Eleanor: that she is E… that she is… 😉
