The SCB CNY Dinner

Pics from the Standard Charted Bank’s Chinese New Year dinner which took place last night at the Manggis Ballroom at Hua Ho Manggis Mall. Guest of Honour was YB Pehin Lim, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade II. The turnout was fantastic with many familiar faces coming all the way from KB.

This chap owns one of the oldest tire shops in KB. He used to install all the tinting on my black bewwdy hee hee!

The start of the dinner was marked with the symbolic tossing of the auspicious “Yee Sang” dish.

During the dinner, Standard Chartered Bank also presented donations to two students, Hong Tou Qin (above) from Chung Hwa Middle School, BSB, and Nurul Wafiyah Abdullah (below) from Chung Hua Middle School, KB.

There was a surprise performance by key team members of the Bank who presented their rendition of a funny Hokkien song entitled, “Na si wa uu chee pa ban” which roughly translated means “If I had a million bucks!”

    ivfdad: Thank you, the lighting at the venue was wreaking havoc on my camera’s white balance which resulted in probably a less than 50% keepers rate 🙁
    Yeah, it was great seeing you and missus too! Twice in a month too! heheh!
