Chop Jing Chew est. 1946 Posted on 06/04/200709/08/2020 By Reedz Chop Jing Chew is an institution among Bruneians particularly those raised in or living in the Brunei/Muara district. It kinda reminds me of the tv-series Cheers except it isn’t a pub. But the atmosphere’s the same… You see familiar faces every week… The waiters however busy, will always find time to chit chat with you. Maybe this is because they’re fascinated with the camera gear that we always bring with us… So that we can exchange information and learn new tricks and techniques in photography… But at the end of the morning, everyone has their fill of roti kuning kawin, teh tarik, zima kway teow, and those hot buns straight out of the oven heheh! Brunei Darussalam Kampung Halamanku Posted on 20/07/2006 Took this picture somewhere in Lumut at a place called agis-agis. Its made up of beautiful valleys which have been given by his majesty’s government to the local population to develop agriculturally. Visited Jing Chew two years ago when I came home to visit my family from Aussie. My dad said they make the best egg tart and you have to be there at the right time to get your hands on them. Unfortunately we were only able to get two… and had to share between four….tells you how popular the egg tarts are… I had roti kawin – i thought it was the best roti in the world… Read your restaurant reviews. A lot of the restaurants I had never heard of or been too… but they looked great, will definitely keep in mind to visit your blog again before I visit Brunei again…
You got that right chief… “Where everybody knows your name~” That place is starting to grow on me. I wonder a few months down the line, when you walk into Jing Chew, all the patrons would shout… “Reeda! Hey!”
Can u snap shot of their halal logo so that people will not “ragu2”. Its time to update the status of jing chew
