#HMJubliemas Posted on 04/10/201713/05/2019 By Reedz A number of major events for the Golden Jubilee Celebration of His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam’s Accession to the Throne were underlined at a media conference held this afternoon at the Prime Minister’s Office Building, Jalan Perdana Menteri. Yang Berhormat Pehin Orang Kaya Seri Kerna Dato Seri Setia Doctor Haji Awang Abu Bakar Bin Haji Apong, Minister of Home Affairs as the Co-Chairman of the Executive Committee of Golden Jubilee Celebration of His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam’s Accession to the Throne, in the media conference also expressed gratitude to His Royal Highness Prince Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah ibni His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah, Senior Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office, as the Patron of Advisory Committee of the Golden Jubilee Celebration on His Royal Highness’ continuous commitment in ensuring the smooth running of the preparation and main event. Dato Seri Paduka Awang Haji Abdul Mokti bin Haji Mohd Daud, Acting Minister of Religious Affairs as the Deputy Co-Chairman of the Religious Programmes and Kesyukuran Ceremony, shared the information on the religious activities held in conjunction with the Golden Jubilee, in particular in line with the Fardhu Maghrib and Isya prayers as well as Doa Kesyukuran at Jame’ Asr Hassanil Bolkiah in Kampong Kiarong. This was followed by information on the Golden Jubilee Procession Ceremony shared by Yang Berhormat Pehin Orang Kaya Indera Pahlawan Dato Seri Setia Haji Awang Suyoi bin Haji Osman, Minister of Education as the Co-Chairman of the Co-Chairman of the Sectoral Committee for the Procession of the Golden Jubilee Celebration of His Majesty’s Accession to the Throne. The launching ceremony of the Sungai Kebun Bridge, procession of the decorated floats and fireworks are among the main event which will enliven the celebration of the Golden Jubilee. During the media conference, Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Bahrin bin Abdullah, Minister of Development as the Co-Chairman of the Jawatankuasa Perasmian dan Peringatan Kenang-Kenangan explained that the launching ceremony will be held on the 14th of October 2017 starting from 7.30 in the evening at the Tarindak area in Jalan Residency. The launching of Eco-Corridor and Junjung Kasih as well as Kesyukuran ceremonies with the citizen and residents from the four districts will be held on the 22nd October 2017 starting from Taman Haji Sir Muda Omar Ali Saifuddien to Sungai Kedayan Eco-Corridor. The matter was explained by the Minister of Home Affairs. Also present were Co-Chairpersons of the Executive Committee of the Golden Jubilee Celebrations: Yang Amat Mulia Pengiran Lela Cheteria Sahibun Najabah Pengiran Anak Haji Abdul Aziz bin Pengiran Jaya Negara Pengiran Haji Abu Bakar, Yang Di-Pertua Adat Istiadat Negara; Yang Berhormat Pehin Orang Kaya Laila Setia Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Abdul Rahman bin Haji Ibrahim, Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office and Second Minister of Finance; Yang Amat Mulia Pengiran Penggawa Laila Bentara Istiadat Diraja Dalam Istana, Pengiran Haji Alauddin bin Pengiran Paduka Tuan Pengiran Haji Abu Bakar, Grand Chamberlain as the Deputy Chairman of the Golden Jubilee Celebrations Executive Committee; Yang Berhormat Pehin Datu Lailaraja Retired Major General Dato Paduka Seri Haji Awang Halbi Bin Haji Mohd Yussof, Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports, member of the Golden Jubilee Celebrations Executive Committee; Dato Seri Paduka Awang Haji Mohd. Roselan bin Haji Mohd Daud, Deputy Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office as the Joint-Secretary and Head of the Secretariat Executive Committee of the Golden Jubilee Celebrations; Dato Paduka Seri Awang Haji Mohd Jammy bin Haji Muhd Shah Al-Islam, Commissioner of Police and member of the Golden Jubilee Executive Committee; and Yang Dimuliakan Pehin Datu Pekerma Jaya Major General Dato Paduka Seri Awang Mohd. Tawih bin Abdullah, Commander of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces and member of the Golden Jubilee Executive Committee.
