TelBru Under 16 Soccer League Opens

The TelBru Under-16 National Football League 2013 Tournament kicked-off yesterday afternoon, with the opening match between the Brunei Darussalam Sports School Council against Muara Vella Akademi.

The event was held at the Hassanal Bolkiah National Stadium in Berakas. The tournament was declared open by the Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Education, Dr. Awang Haji Junaidi bin Haji Abdul Rahman.

10 teams are competing for the championship trophy. The tournament is divided into two groups. The opening ceremony also saw the balloting for the opening match. The first match was won the Muara Vella Akadami after defeating the Brunei Darussalam Sports School Council, 1-0.
