Breaking fast on a field – Padang Style

Last night, the kids and I trooped on over to the newly renovated Pondok Sari Wangi Sengkurong to try out the sungkai buffet which was made up of padang dishes including ayam assam pedas, tempe goreng mandarin, pakis sambal, tahu, dendeng belado, daging tongseng and others. It was a veritable feast of flavours and textures marked by the typical spiciness (but not hot) that padang cuisine is famous for. The kids enjoyed their meal at PSW and so did I.
