The Race That Cares – Part Two Posted on 11/07/201122/01/2013 By Reedz Standard Chartered Bank Chief Executive Officer Lai Pei-Sei, during her speech, said, "At Standard Chartered Bank, our brand promises ‘here for good’; a simple phrase with multiple meanings. ‘Here for good’ sums up SCB’s commitment to developing deep relationships with our clients and customers; our values, conduct and focus on sustainability; and our longevity, heritage and continued strong performance. "This event today is a great example of us living out our brand promise. And this is what we are all about. In everything that the bank does, be it in business or on a corporate responsibility front, we ask ourselves: By doing this, are we delivering on ‘here for good’? "For us, the Standard Chartered Charity Run 2011 is more than just a race. It makes a difference and gives ordinary people a reason to be extraordinary. It is evident, through the passion for running and making it a force for good." The bank was also delighted to share that to date, funds raised have exceeded $95,000, surpassing its target of $80,000. The final amount of funds raised, following more fundraising during yesterday’s run itself, will be announced in the near future before handing over to relevant charity organisations. A lucky draw was also held, featuring attractive prizes, such as an Apple iPad 2, return air tickets to Kota Kinabalu, dining vouchers and electronic devices. In addition to prizes to winners of the run, there was also an Apple iPod Touch for the highest fund collector, which will be handed over during a presentation at a later date. The Standard Chartered Charity Run 2011 was sponsored by Borneo Bulletin, Media Permata, Royal Brunei Airlines, TelBru, Mix Media Worx, Red Bull, Revive, Fitness Zone and Muiz Marketing. – Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin Blue ocean @ indoor stadium This ATM can deposit only.
