From RTB:

It has been 10 years since e-Government was introduced to the country and most had been focused on the infrastructure and the back end of the system. After the launch of the e-Government Startegic Plan in May 2009 the main focus for e-Government now is towards citizen centric services.

In a citizen survey conducted in 2009 added the Deputy Permanent Secretary, they found out that Education services was one of the top priority that the citizens wants the government to look into. This includes suggestion that the government provides the facility for online applications including students transfer to another school, registration, and application for business licences.

During the forum, Awang Haji Azhar himself and the Assistant CEO of IDA Singapore, Mr Khoong Hock Yun, CEO Infocom Federation of Brunei, Pengiran Sarimah binti Pengiran Latiff, discussed strategies relating to how governments can connect to their citizens as well as the Next Generation Nationwide Broadband Network programme.
