The 19th hole at the Empire Posted on 24/04/200924/04/2009 By Reedz Lunch yesterday was at the newly launched upscale clubhouse restaurant at The Empire Country Club, called Bunker Bistro. The restaurant is themed with classic and the nostalgic feel of golf which surrounds the room from the staff’s uniform to the centerpiece figurines on each table. A dining venue that overlooks the putting green, South China Sea and Country Club’s 18-hole Jack Nicklaus Signature Golf Course, is featuring a deliciously new appetizing menu, highlighting both local and international cuisine, but most of all it is the Bunker Bistro’s signature and delectable dish that will unquestionably be the talk of town – The Bunker Sizzlers. Starts off your meal by stimulating your appetite with beautiful array of healthy green selections, such as the 18th Hole Caesar Salad – tossed with garlic lavosh, poached egg, parmesan shavings, prepared with a choice of roasted chicken or prawn or try the Golf Shop House Salad – crisp arugula, green apple, marinated with feta cheese, herb lavosh, red radish and marinated bell pepper. Delicious snacks and sandwiches are also available to work up your appetite, particularly for golfers after a round of golf. Healthier options are also available such as Chicken Quesadilla – grilled seasoned chicken breast, cheddar cheese layered between flour tortilla guacamole, sour cream and Pico de Gallo or a hearty meal go for the The Bunker Bogey Burger – 100% juicy prime minced beef served with bunker French fries. And then again, there is The Bunker Club – One & Only, a traditional club sandwich never to be missed. Be prepared for the wholesome sizzlers under Bunker Sizzlers – the main highlight dish for Bunker Bistro. Flame-grilled Chicken Breast marinated with thyme, garlic, olive oil and definitely famed to perfection. Meat lovers can dig in on either the succulent Flame-grilled Beef Tenderloin or the scrumptious Flamed-grilled Lamb Chop. All goes with a choice of backed potato or pilaf rice with steamed veggies and of course topped with glossy sauce of black pepper, lemon butter, BBQ or Mushroom.
