Chinese New Year – Day One Posted on 07/02/200808/05/2019 By Reedz What a packed day its been so far. Spent the morning at the chinese temple in town trying to capture the essence of the first day of chinese new year. There were at least 30 other photogs with the same objective. It’ll be interesting to see the different perspectives and interpretations offered by all of them. Unfortunately, some of the otais haven’t yet gotten on the web, so not much chance of seeing their works 🙁 A new year, a new beginning… A time to offer thanks and prayers… … and hope for a prosperous and happy year ahead… … where RED is the colour of the day… … and PLENTY of incense is burnt… Its also about blessing the lions… … and getting blessings from the lions… … and warming up the lions before they go full steam for the day… … visiting a large number of houses whose owners have invited them… This year, there were a huge number of on-lookers… … including the group of photogs from the Brunei Forever Forum 🙂 … and this group of otais… … even Dato Hishamuddien took time out of his busy schedule to snap a few shots Share this:Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window)Click to share on LinkedIn (Opens in new window)Click to share on Telegram (Opens in new window)Click to share on WhatsApp (Opens in new window)Click to share on Reddit (Opens in new window) Related
