The Empire Hotel & Country Club will be hosting an Italian inspired food festival in August 2007 in association with the world famous Hotel Principe di Savoia in Milan. The food festival, taking part from 9 to 23 August, will see The Empire Hotel & Country Club along with Chef Marco Ghezzi serve up a nightly A La Carte menu in the Spaghettini restaurant featuring specially created dishes based on classic Italian recipes and traditional style cooking.

The A La Carte Menu has been specially designed for this Italian Food Festival promotion to showcase some of Italy’s best loved traditional family inspired recipes and ingredients and will include dishes such as “Purpitielli” octopus with potato salad, Risotto with herbs, prawns and courgette blossoms, Spaghetti with Clams and Pizza dell’ Ortolana, eggplants, courgettes, tomatoes and sweet pepper.

The Hotel Principe di Savoia, overlooking Piazza della Repubblica in the centre of Milan was originally opened in 1927 and has recently launched an innovative new veranda and restaurant, the Acanto. To coincide with the Italian food festival being held at The Empire Hotel and Country Club, The Hotel Principe di Savoia in Milan is offering guests who dine at the Spaghettini restaurant the chance to win a 4 night stay in Milan to experience the new restaurant first hand.

The Empire Hotel and Country Clubs Spaghettini restaurant is a traditional Italian tratorria serving authentic provincial cuisine from the streets of Rome, winding alleys of Naples and waterways of Venice. The restaurant also provides an exquisite private room for special occasions.

Early bookings are highly recommended for the event, through +673 241 8888 or email dining@theempirehotel.com
