Seria town from OGDC…

Posted on 10/06/200604/09/2026 By Reedz

From the archive, 2026

This was Seria as seen from OGDC in 2006.

There was no dramatic skyline. Just two telecommunications towers, rows of familiar rooftops, old shop signs and Plaza Seria standing behind them.

That ordinariness is precisely what makes the photograph valuable today. We tend to photograph monuments, ceremonies and special occasions. We seldom think to record the everyday view because we assume it will always be there.

At the time, I was simply photographing the town in front of me. Twenty years later, it has become a small time capsule of the Seria we once knew.
