The grand opening of the first Starbucks in Brunei was officiated by Her Royal Highness Pg Anak Isteri Pg Anak Hjh Zariah and the management of Berjaya Food Sdn Bhd and Starbucks at the bustling hub of the Mabohai Shopping Complex yesterday.

More than 200 enthusiastic and excited Starbucks fans, including its 100 digital followers on Facebook and members of the media, gave a thunderous applause when the ribbon was cut on this historical day.

The launch also saw customers being among the first to own the limited edition Starbucks Brunei merchandises such as mugs, flasks and stationaries.

The first Brunei Starbucks store was designed to reflect Starbucks’ 43-year coffee heritage while embracing the Sultanate’s distinctive local traditions and culture.

The main features in the magnificent space are the traditional coffee bar and ‘slow bar’ where customers can savour the taste of coffee made with the Pour-Over brewing method.

Patrons can gather at the communal table around the slow bar to chat over their choice cups of coffee prepared by the passionate Starbucks baristas.

The drinks selection range from the high quality Arabica coffee to the green tea frappucino.

Starbucks delicious pastries and cakes are also available on the menu to accompany the drinks.
