Parents, teachers, the ICT industry and law enforcement agencies in the country have a shared responsibility to provide a layer of protection and security for the safety of children online. Minister of Communications Pehin Orang Kaya Seri Kerna Dato Seri Setia Dr Hj Awg Abu Bakar bin Haji Apong on Monday reminded everyone of their responsibilities at the launch of the World Telecommunication and Information Society Day (WTISD) 2009 at the Indera Kayangan Ballroom, The Empire Hotel & Country Club. This year’s theme is "Protecting Children in Cyberspace". It aims to ensure that children can safely access the Internet and its valuable resources without fear or falling prey to unscrupulous predators in cyberspace.
