JAPEM Family Day (Ayam.39.2.Day) Posted on 19/05/200914/12/2018 By Reedz Last weekend, the Community Development Department (JAPEM) held the Family Day Celebration 2009 to mark the International Family Day, which is celebrated on May 15 every year. Themed “Mother and Family: Challenges in the Changing World”, the event was held at the Indoor Stadium of the Hassanal Bolkiah Sports Complex in Berakas. The guest of honour was HRH Prince ‘Abdul `Azim, who also officiated the launch of the celebration. The Family Day Celebration 2009 was aimed at raising awareness on the importance of family institution and fostering closer ties between family members to strengthen family togetherness in the community. Some 370 families from across the country were invited to join activities and programmes lined up for the event.
