KEIBUBAPAAN

Posted on 17/01/200915/06/2015 By Reedz

While waiting to see the doctor in one of the clinics at RIPAS today, I noticed a poster on the wall which read as follows:

  • Kasihi anak awda tanpa syarat.
Galakkan soalan. Tunjukkan kesediaan awda untuk berbincang tentang apa-apa sahaja.

Sedari kemahiran awda sendiri menyelesaikan dan mengatasi masalah. Adakah awda seorang contoh yang baik?

In my eyes, this is a list of key performance indicators (KPI’s) for parents. I think those of you who are parents will understand when I say it got me thinking and re-examining my performance as a parent. “Am I consistently achieving these KPI’s? If not, why? and what are the gaps? and what needs to be done to plug those gaps?”

Almost everyone got the similarities between the two Bruneians in my previous post. On the left is Sheikh Abas, a prominent businessman and intrepid explorer. He has been on several 4×4 expeditions to China, Malaysia, and even London. I can only imagine what it feels like to arrive in London…

Pics taken at Rizqun International during the 5 year anniversary celebrations for Laksamana College of Business. Wow, its been five years? Judging from the turnout, it looks like they’re doing pretty well in terms of student population!

Peng’s Debut Party

Posted on 05/07/201122/01/2013

Last weekend, I had the honour of attending the debut party of a friend’s youngest daughter. The last debut I attended was over 20 years ago in Manila. I love to observe the traditions of different cultures and the debut is one of those coming of age traditions which I…
