Autism affects 1 in every 120 children in Brunei Darussalam. Children with autism are neither naughty nor different – they may have problems in social skills, communication and behaviour. Autism awareness is important as early diagnosis and with early intervention, they can be helped. SMARTER Brunei Darussalam is dedicated in helping these children.

The medical students of the Institute of Medicine UBD are holding a Charity Event to help children with autism. The event will feature performances by the children of SMARTER Brunei Darussalam, well-known local singers Hans Anwar, Joe M, Faiz, Lo Ryder, Millin, Fakhrul Razi, Sri Nazrinaz, Noraishah, Fairuzneezan, Putri Norizah and Nana from PhuturePhase Productions. This event will be happening on Saturday, 2nd February 2008 from 7pm onwards in Jerudong Park Amphitheatre.

Tickets are now available at $15, $25 and $50 (with dinner). There will be many lucky draws and special prizes to be won. Everybody out there, reach out and support this good cause by buying a ticket for the Charity Evening. Support the effort of our very own medical students to make this event a success.

Each of you can make a difference
in the lives of these children!!
