Health Expo 2007

Posted on 17/11/200717/11/2007 By Reedz

Pics taken at the health expo yesterday. Attended the morning plenary session on Obesity and Diabetes, and it was PACKED! Never thought so many people would turn up for a session at 8.30am on a Friday morning. Its very gratifying to see so many interested in our nation’s health issues. The session on obesity presented by Prof Ian Caterson from University of Sydney was both enlightening and inspiring. Separate post on this session to follow.

Despite the seriousness of the issues presented, Prof Ian Caterson managed to share several light moments with the crowd which helped bring home his messages. For me anyway.

Full house!

Fisheries Carnival 2009

Posted on 01/02/2009

Dropped by the fisheries carnival at Muara yesterday to check it out. Pretty interesting with a variety of local products on offer but more interesting was the fresh, local seafood! Bought a nice white fish which made a lovely lunch! Yummmzzz! Keropok Lekor from the folks at MPK Sungai Matan…
