Last weekend the Firm organized a morning trek outing to Bukit Markucing or Markucing Hill Recreational Park. The park is about five kilometres from the capital and stands at one hundred and sixty-five meters above sea level.
There are a number of hills in the park and each have their own names like Bukit Nenas, Bukit Cerangin, Bukit Raban Ambok, Bukit Karamunting, Bukit Jati, Bukit Luba, Bukit Markucing, Bukit Sumbui-Sumbui, Bukit Jibus and Bukit Sipinang.
Notice there are no pics of the hills. This is because I took one look at hill number one and made a u-turn… can u spell s-t-e-e-p? To see pics of an actual trek up the hill, click here.

Had I gone up the hill, this is what I would have seen…

My deepest condolences go to the families of the victims of yesterday’s
unfortunate incident in town. AL-FATIHAH.

These days, most of my sunset shoots involve couples very much in love, about to be or newly married, and I needed a break from that so yesterday, on a spur of the moment, da fam and I headed to the Jerudong fish markets to catch the happenings there. It was a nice little outing and at the same time, we got some fresh fish as well!

I lived most of my early life next to the sea… sometimes I miss the smell of the ocean

Sunsets by the sea always bring out a sea of emotions…

Wow! What a great turnout for the 5th Abacus Travel Fair! The response just keeps getting better and better every year! This year there were more bargains and more prizes to be won than ever! I’m not sure about the official stats, but I’m very sure there was a record turnout especially since I could not find a parking space in and around the mall area for at least an hour! In the end, I gave up and got da missus to just drop me off
Congratulations to Abacus and all its travel partners on a hugely successful event! Look forward to the next one!

If you haven’t already gone to the 5th Abacus Holiday Travel Fair which started yesterday, then I think you should head on down there IMMEDIATELY! Aside from the FABULOUS bargains being offered on holiday travel packages, every booking made during the fair, entitles you to a chance to win an Apple iPod Nano and air tickets to Kuching, Perth and Saigon sponsored by Royal Brunei Airlines. The winners will also receive travel insurance coverage plan under Na’wa Package sponsored by Takaful IBB Berhad.
Even if you don’t book anything, you will still have chance to win attractive prizes daily on the lucky draw such as MP3, DVD player from Abacus and meal voucher for “Kenali Makanan Kitani” promotion sponsored by Royal Brunei Catering and many more attractive prizes! So what’re ya waitin for??
Pics below taken last night during a dinner hosted by the YB Dato’ Sri Sulaiman Abdul Rahman Taib, Malaysia’s Deputy Tourism Minister, who is here in conjunction with the travel fair and to launch the Merdeka Celebration holiday packages to Malaysia.
