LATEST UPDATE! (09/04/08)
09/04/08: Response has been phenomenal! Thank you so much guys! I deeply appreciate your support for this event! BIG thanks to the folks at BAG Networks who booked ONE HUNDRED seats for all their staff! There are less than 50 seats left for the two shows and so MVision have kindly opened up another show… THE REAL PYJAMA SHOW which is at 11.20pm! So yeah, if you haven’t booked, CALL NOW!
07/04/08: OK! Things are finally in place for the Pyjama Movie Nite!! The movie is confirmed and its “P.S. I Love You“. There will be two shows, one at 7.30pm and another at 9pm. Phone bookings are open will open tomorrow (fingers crossed) and you can book your tickets by calling the Empire Cinema on 2417977. Just mention Pyjama Movie Night and they should know what to do. Seat allocations are beyond my control, so please do book early to get the seats you want!
The price for the tickets is B$10.00 each, out of which, 50% will go to SMARTER Brunei. Your ticket will also include FREE finger food and drinks which is kindly sponsored by MVision Cinemas. There will also be a special booth for SMARTER where you can buy SMARTER merchandise and also sign up for the ‘7-Hill Charity Challenge’ which will be held on the 27th April 2008.
Also, starting this Thursday, there will be a small gallery set up at the Empire Cinema which will be displaying some pieces from my PHOTOBYRED collection. These will be for sale, and the proceeds will also go to SMARTER Brunei. The gallery will be up for the whole weekend. So if you’re looking for something to hang up on your dining or living room wall, why not come and take a look?
01/04/08: Hi guys! So far, there’s been a very good response for this event. Perhaps at this point I should elaborate further. You may or may not know about my charity calendar project which I did last year in support of SMARTER Brunei. Through the support of many fellow anak2 brunei, the project raised about B$1,000.00 for the charity.
This year, I intend to raise more, and instead of a charity calendar, I thought I’d try something different. Hence the pyjama movie night at the Empire cinema where everyone comes dressed in their PJ’s and get to meet and greet with various local celebrities including Jenny M, Rano, Adi Rani, DJ Anna, Kurapak Gang, IMTS, Diana, Azeem, NJ, DJ Allen, DJ Fauzan, DJ Emma and others!
Finger food and drinks, courtesy of MVision Cinemas, will be made available during the event. There will also be a mini gallery of some of my works which will be for sale.
Here’s the charity component. Part proceeds from ticket sales, and sales of stuff from the mini gallery will go to SMARTER. I am working in conjunction with the wonderful folks at MVision Cinemas to make this happen and we’ve decided on Saturday, 12th April as the night for this event. The movie will most likely (subject to confirmation) be ummm.. definitely? maybe?
There you have it folks. One Saturday night in April for a worthy cause. I am absolutely positive that your attendance will make all the difference to this charity event. So, if you’re free and game on that night (and I’m really hoping you are!), do come on down to the Empire cinema on 12th April! Ticket reservations direct to Empire Cinema will be open soon!
