Happy faces at JC...
Ever wonder why some establishments thrive for decades while others close their doors after as little as six months? That's the million dollar question... WHY? Well, to me, its all about getting everything to come together. Service, ambience, food, and plain good hospitality. JC is one of those establishments that has been around for a long time. They got the right formula.
Waiters that have super memories and get your orders right, the first time, WITHOUT writing them down. Specialties like roti kuning kawin, zeema kwayteow, hot buns, and a pretty decent teh tarik. Most importantly, that ambience which cannot be recreated elsewhere... the noise, the occasional smoker, the waiters' shouting the orders... and the old man behind the counter... yes, those to me are the hallmarks of JC's continued success

This chap is a fellow regular... every Friday heheh

Curry puff is another favorite among patrons, especially piping hot fresh from the oven

OK this last one wasn't taken at JC... It was taken at Yayasan Complex in town
Z's always a sight for sore eyes heheh... Have a nice weekend everyone!

Strange enough I was there a few days ago and asked the same question. hehee.. I agree with your analysis. They had the place going like clockwork..... and that is missing in some eateries.

As in Seria, serving the same kind of food for decades and yet still popular. Other places focus on the wrong things.

Ooooo.. Let's not play this naming games please!!! Best to leave it to the discretion of the webmaster cos you won't get a prize for doing so.
