Ever wonder why some establishments thrive for decades while others close their doors after as little as six months? That’s the million dollar question… WHY? Well, to me, its all about getting everything to come together. Service, ambience, food, and plain good hospitality. JC is one of those establishments that has been around for a long time. They got the right formula.

Waiters that have super memories and get your orders right, the first time, WITHOUT writing them down. Specialties like roti kuning kawin, zeema kwayteow, hot buns, and a pretty decent teh tarik. Most importantly, that ambience which cannot be recreated elsewhere… the noise, the occasional smoker, the waiters’ shouting the orders… and the old man behind the counter… yes, those to me are the hallmarks of JC’s continued success
