Community Problem Solving Projects at UBD

Posted on 16/11/200717/11/2007 By Reedz

Pics taken at the community problem solving projects (CPS) presentation and exhibition at UBD. CPS is part of the coursework which students have to produce as part of their units. The interesting difference I noted about these projects was that it did not stop at just presenting the PROBLEMS but actually involved ACTING on the problems they presented.

This year the overall theme was on Global Warming and eight topics were selected by students on issues ranging from power consumption to open burning to solid waste management. Some of the presentations were eye-opening and the students did a good job of presenting their case given the limited time they had to prepare.

I shall be inviting these students to submit their powerpoint presentations so I can post them here. I think we can all benefit from the information they presented that afternoon. Here’s Lazy Turtle’s post on their project.
