FAST Forward!
Yesterday, I was invited to attend Baiduri Bank's launch of the next generation mobile suite of banking services named FAST. Curious as I was to find out what its all about, I was unable to attend. Below is a description of the service:
This advanced banking service via the mobile phone, allows subscribers to pay bills and perform other banking services, top up prepaid mobile phone, and other value added services within the most secured environment.
Operating via Interactive Voice Response (IVR) system, the user will be guided to use the services from start till transaction ends. These instructions are available in three languages – Malay, English and Mandarin.
Designed with customers’ convenience in mind, FAST subscribers can access this service from anywhere, anytime on the mobile phone. Anyone can register for this service, as long as they have access to a mobile phone. Non-Baiduri Bank account holders who hold Amex, Visa or MasterCard issued by other institutions are also invited to subscribe to this service.
Teenagers between the ages of 12 and 18 years can also sign-up for this new service with the signed indemnity of a parent or guardian.
There is no charge from the Bank for registration for this service. The subscriber’s phone service provider (DST or B-mobile) will charge the user accordingly for the duration of the call.
In conjunction with the launch, Baiduri Bank is offering a promotion, valid till 31st December 2007. Upon successful sign-up to FAST, each subscriber shall receive a MasterCard Cash Card which might be topped up for immediate use. Subscribers will also be entitled to participate in lucky draws during the promotion period. For every successful transaction, the subscriber will be entitled to a draw entry. There will be a total of three draws, one for each month with attractive prizes to be won, including mobile phones and MasterCard Cash Cards containing pre-loaded amounts of up to BND 100 each.
Ok, I'm gonna give this service a go... stay tuned for my review!
